Aerial Photography Policies and Agreements

All of our services are for aerial digital still-photography only.

Safety is a priority at all times, regardless of the price or the size of the job. We always do everything possible to ensure the safety of ourselves, anyone in our flight area, and of course our equipment. Because of this, there are some places and times were we cannot and will not fly.

Our specialized aircraft require a very short amount of space to take off and land. That being said, there are sites were it just might be too tight to operate safely. Many things have to be taken into account when we fly: people, buildings, active roads, full-scale airports, telephone poles, high tension wires, etc. We will not operate closely over people or active roads, as it is unsafe to do so. Nor will we operate within the flight path of full-size aircraft. Each site will be evaluated on a case by case basis and we will do our best to find work-arounds whenever possible.

We operate year round if conditions are safe for flying. Unfortunately in this business we are at the mercy of Mother Nature to provide suitable flying conditions. It is up to the Airborne Media team to decide if the weather is satisfactory for flying that day. If winds are approaching 8-10 mph or extremely gusty we will cannot fly and we will have to set up another time to fly. Wind and weather conditions are always evaluated on site when we arrive for an aerial session. As long as there is no precipitation (rain, mist, snow, etc.) in the air we can safely operate. If preventative weather is encountered we will reschedule the appointment at no cost to you.
The best photos come from bright, sunny to slightly overcast days. Note, that overcast or situations where light is less than optimal can result in photos that are less than optimal. We do not schedule sessions within an hour of sunrise and/or sunset.

If we are required to fly over water to photograph, there is an additional $125 charge. We do this because there is the potential of a complete loss of our equipment in the case of a failure in the aircraft.

A mileage fee of $0.75/mile applies for any location more than 20 miles from Liberty Township, Ohio. These fees will be quoted in advance so there are no surprises.

PRIVACY
We will try to photograph just about anywhere but we do respect people's privacy. Please DO NOT ask us to spy on someone! We will not do this and will refuse the request immediately and/or cancel the photo shoot!
If we are coming for a photo shoot, just give your neighbors or who ever may be close by, some advanced notice. That way they will know what we are there for and they won't think that government agents are spying on them!

LIABILITY
Although safety is our top priority, there is always the possibility of an accident happening due to unforeseen circumstances.
Airborne Media will not be held responsible or liable for: property damage, personal injury, or even death as the result of an accidental crash or malfunction of any of our aerial photography equipment.
